As we begin to understand our worth, we have the capability to make better decisions. We can decide what we let in or keep out. We can define where we end and someone else begins. We can access the focal point of the Spirit of God as the source for our emotions, behaviors and choice. As we move in this lifestyle, we’ll find that natural changes will occur. We will not longer be willing to compromise our morals and beliefs for the sake of pleasing someone else. At the same time, we can learn how to love as God loves, without discounting the genuine love God has for the people in our lives. Once this occurs, we have the capability to live within the guidelines of genuine peace and joy – where we can own what belongs to us, discard what doesn’t, and discern the difference (the serenity prayer).
