AHTGB: Prayer Workshop

Hi everyone! I apologize for the long delay! As this class details, our family (my husband) is going through a health crisis, and do ask and desire your prayers! Therefore, the class I taught on prayer is very personal as the principles it contains reflect the very processes we are undergoing. This I can tell you. God is faithful. He has given us a peace that surpasses all understanding. He has broken down barriers of confusion and given us the gift of clarity. He has revealed Himself as sovereign. Honestly, we are in awe at the reality that the spiritual processes of the heart are very similar to those of the physical body. Simpy put – GOD IS REAL! He reigns and rules – He is a powerful Comforter, a capable Healer. He’s the Great I Am. The One that was, and is, and is to come. We praise Him with every breath we take!

In your own life, you may also be facing some sort of crisis. It might be a relationship that is vulnerable. It might be the fear that life is passing you by without a sense of purpose. It might be a child that you love dearly destroying his or her life. Whatever it is, the reality of living in this broken world is that we have real needs and we need to meet and encounter a real God.  I know, in a very deep and personal way, that waiting can be painful, tormenting at times and can easily cause us to revert to survival. But can I encourage you not to retreat. Keep pressing forward. Keep pushing on.

My prayer is that this class along with the prayer itself will lift you, guide you and give you the courage to face whatever you are dealing with. I pray that you would see yourselves as seated in the heavenlies with Christ Jesus. I pray that you would be empowered to have no fear, because the perfect love of God casts it out. I pray that the reality of Warrior Jesus standing by your stand, taking on your cause, defending You, protecting You will make you brave.

In my distress I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me and rescued me. He is for me! How can I be afraid? What can mere man do to me? The Lord is on my side; he will help me. Let those who hate me beware. It is better to trust the Lord than to put confidence in men. It is better to take refuge in him than in the mightiest king! – Psalm 119:5-9  (TLB)

May God bless you Christmas, your New Year season and all the days in between.
